Time to update your LinkedIn profile pic?

COMMENTS 0

People like to put a face to the name.

While this might seem obvious, a lot of people either don’t have a photo or have an outdated or poorly cropped or sized one.

If you are sizing your photo for LinkedIn or getting your graphic designer or photographer to supply it at the right size, the ideal size for your photo is 400 x 400 pixels in JPG, GIF or PNG with a 10MB maximum file size.

To add or change a photo:

  • You need to be logged in to your LinkedIn account
  • Navigate to your profile
  • Move your cursor over your photo and click Change photo.
  • Then you can change the position of the photo and preview what it looks like or click on the Change photo link to upload a new photo from your computer.
  • When happy click Save.

While you are at it if you need to change the background image you move your cursor over the background image and click on Edit Background. You can then choose to Change Image, Remove Image or Save.  The ideal size for your background is 1400 x 425 pixels in JPG, GIF or PNG with a 4MB maximum file size.
